The investigation methods of the French health agencies are changing. The possibility opened to them to use aliases to investigate for several offences is finally implemented by a Ministerial Order of September 18, 2018 which was published today (this was initially included in the French Public Health Code due to an Order of December 19, 2013, but the text for its implementation was never drafted… until today!).
The French Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products (in French “ANSM”) and the Regional Health Agencies (in French “ARS”) can now train inspectors who will be able to, by using nicknames/pseudo, participate to any sort of electronic exchanges, contact through emails or other sorts of electronic exchanges and buy products from companies being investigated by any of the abovementioned agencies.
